North Carolina government insists on controlling alcohol. The idea is a transparent ruse, but the beat goes on. A few years ago, the Asheville ABC Board was riddled with scandal. A refreshed board was brought in to clean up the mess, and once again scandals arose. Now, a well-respected and competent man has been found to serve as interim GM following abuses of privilege by leadership prior to the last two house cleanings. Can he put an end to deals and perks in the world of fast and easy money?
