All of North Carolina’s Republicans (Sue Myrick, Virginia Foxx, Howard Coble, Walter Jones and Patrick McHenry) voted against the carbon-tax bill that came up for a vote at 7:17 tonight. Two Democrats, Mike McIntyre and Larry Kissell, also voted against this calamitous legislation, which passed the House by a 219-212 vote, despite no one having read the original bill, nor the 300-page amendment that was added mysteriously last night.

All the other Democrats, however, voted for it: David Price, Bob Etheridge, G.K. Butterfield, Mel Watt, Heath Shuler and Brad Miller. So, if the Senate doesn’t kill this steaming pile of legislation, you can thank these guys for the extra $4,000 you’ll have to spend annually because of this bill, and God knows what other surprised might be in the bill, including the fact that middle-class citizens will see their money taken to pay the utility bills of deadbeats.
