Today’s N&R lead editorial says Congress needs to think of taxpayers when wrestling with the proposed $700 million billion* bailout of financial institutions.
This comes two days after the paper offers up a lame ‘sometimes you do what you have to do’ regarding the City of Greensboro’s planned purchase of the Canada Dry property and the Coliseum Inn for reasons that aren’t clearly given.
