Conventional wisdom is that a Perdue/McCrory rematch will make for a lively gubernatorial campaign. But now Orange/Caswell Rep. Bill Faison has raised the specter of a Perdue primary challenge to national news. Now that would be pretty darn interesting politics. Politico has picked up the story about Faison loaning himself cash and now running ads, leading a lot of folks to wonder when he’s going to officially declare himself a candidate. So far he seems to be enjoying being a thorn in Perdue’s side.
