If you read the article in today’s News & Observer of Raleigh about the gubernatorial debates, you may wonder why Ballantine is being the bullheaded one about the venues and issues. And you may also wonder under what strange circumstances you would not re-elect Gov. Easley who seems so passionate about education.
The fact that Easley has refused to do more than one debate – and only allowing that debate to be on one issue – is not mentioned in the N&O’s 290-word article today. And it seems as though the candidates are collectively being suspiciously stubborn, when in fact, only one is.
