Concern about the harmful alliance between Big Government and Big Business is driving much of the debate in the Republican presidential race.

Washington Examiner senior political columnist Tim Carney calls the phenomenon an example of the “free-market populism” he espoused in his book Obamanomics. Carney discussed this concept and the nation’s political landscape during a John Locke Foundation Headliner luncheon today in Raleigh.
