Due to the Republican takeover of the General Assembly, more and more Democrats are quitting to spend more time with their families. So, the GOP really is the pro-family party:
State Rep. Jennifer Weiss, an outspoken veteran Democrat, announced Tuesday she would not seek another term.
Weiss represented Wake County for 12 years and called her decision difficult. “But I feel that it is time for me to take a break from politics, pursue some of my other interests and spend more time with my family and friends,” she said in a statement.
