The John Hood piece to which I am responding has not been linked yet, but the point is the same:
Education policy recommendations from Public School Forum director John Dornan and John Hood may not intersect too often, but in this case they do.
In a new column, Hood suggests reducing classroom aide positions and funding more teacher positions, or improving salary and other conditions for current teachers.
Here’s Dornan’s appraisal ? couched of course in apologist terms for North Carolina’s low standards of academic achievement.
UPDATE: Hood?s piece on school funding and priorities is now posted.
