Funny, we’re getting two different versions of Guilford County Schools’ financial situation. Read the N&R version, and it looks like GCS barely will scrape by enough to keep class sizes the same.
Read the Rhino version, and GCS has a nice little fed cash stash that they dole out to schools as they see fit, including funding for “hard to educate students.”
I’m not sure which is which, but as the Rhino notes, at least school systems are getting a state budget in a timely manner this year.
