Today is the last day of existence for the Richmond Braves, a team with a history that dates back to 1966. The problem? The city of Richmond refused to build a new stadium for the team but Gwinnett County (Ga.) did not. As a result, say hello to the Gwinnett Braves, which will play in a new $45m. stadium maintained by the county.

I’m sure Richmond will just dry up and blow away while Gwinnett will go on to ever-greater things.
