Cameron complained his property had been made subject to more stringent steep slope standards intended for developers. The county argued it should be because Cameron intended to develop the land at some point. The courts ruled in Cameron’s favor, and Cameron announced his intent to sue for damages. The county had already spent $287,000, and Cameron wanted $250,000 more. Cameron agreed to settle for $75,000.]
