Roy, apropos of your post, libertarians in general don’t believe in positive rights, correct? That would assume that rights flow from government. So I can see why you don’t see a “right to school choice.”

On the other hand, libertarians ? or at least classic liberals (i.e., true liberals) ? believe in negative rights; i.e., rights that government must not encroach upon. So in the general framework, if someone wants to use his time and resources to set up a school, and others want to send their children to that school, the classic liberal would be inclined to argue that the government does not have the right to prevent that transaction. That would be “choice” by default, of course.
