There was little change in North Carolina’s SAT scores.

The scores are still below the national average. North Carolina’s average score was 1,006 and the national average score was 1,016. North Carolina’s average scores were 495 in reading and 511 in math. The national average scores were 501 in reading and 515 in math. North Carolina has the 37th-highest average SAT score in the nation.
