Jon Sanders has a knack for exposing silly courses at North Carolina universities. This week, David Horowitz’s web site, FrontPageMagazine.com, couldn’t resist his latest find: “911 The Road to Tyranny.” Taught by Prof. Jane Christensen at North Carolina Wesleyan, the course description lists left-wing web sites as recommended daily reading. Christensen notes the course is unscientific and relies on eyewitness accounts and speculation. That reminded Sanders of an episode of “The Simpsons,” in which a self-help guru tells his audience he holds a Ph.D. in pain. “By the same token, this course doesn’t have political science – or a scientific approach – but it has a Ph.D. in kooky conspiracy-mongering,” Sanders wrote.
