You may remember a 12-year-old boy gave the Democrats’ response in favor of SCHIP to President Bush’s weekly radio address on September 29.

He is a poster child for what is wrong with SCHIP, according to recent fact-checking. His parents’ wedding was announced in the New York Times. Dad’s had a wood furniture design studio for the 15 years since then and even employed mom for a couple years. So – ahem – they chose not to have insurance.

Graeme and his sister Gemma attend the Park School, and their other two siblings likely do as well — they may receive financial assistance to attend the $20,000-per-year school, otherwise it’s not clear how they could afford $80,000 in tuition and still qualify for SCHIP.

Oh yeah, they also own a little 3,034 square-foot house in Baltimore. (The Baltimore Sun took the family’s picture in the kitchen.) Zillow estimates the home’s value at $360,633.
