Tonight in southeast Raleigh
a standing room only crowd filled the gym at the Upper
Room Christian
Academy for an event that was
sponsored by the Parents for Educational Freedom in North, to promote the simple idea of educational choice.  Attendees included Democrat and Republican
members of the North Carolina General Assembly and people of all ethnic
backgrounds.  I saw something tonight
that I think a lot of Americans need to see and especially those in the policy
arena, and that is that people of all demographic areas want the freedom to choose what
is best for their children.  From seeing
the event tonight, I think that ultimately freedom will win and prevail.  When some are burdened with an
Investment with no gain, from what I saw tonight it proves that it doesn?t matter your skin
color or political affiliation, people love freedom and freedom prevails, and
sometimes a fire starts in the some of the most unlikely places, even in North Carolina.
