A new study by the Urban Institute shows that Florida students who attended private schools through a tax-credit scholarship program were more likely to enroll at a public college in Florida than those with similar backgrounds who stayed in public schools in grades 3-12. The biggest difference was in community college attendance. There is still reason to worry about the students left behind who do not receive a scholarship, but the answer again seems to be finding ways to expand options rather than limit them.
