Thriller and Rumours sold a gazillion copies each and spawned many good hits, but those songs overshadowed other great tunes.

I’d rather hear “Wanna Be Startin’ Somethin'” or “Baby Be Mine” than “Billie Jean.” I used to love “P.Y.T. (Pretty Young Thing),” but now it’s hard to hear that song without imagining Michael Jackson singing it to little boys.

Every song on Rumours is a killer, which makes it unfortunate that “Songbird,” “The Chain,” and “Second Hand News” had to sit beside “Dreams,” “You Make Loving Fun,” “Go Your Own Way,” and “Don’t Stop” (a great song despite its 1992 connotations).
