Those of you who enjoy all the charts and graphs associated with public policy debates will appreciate the latest addition to the Cato Institute’s DownsizingGovernment.org site. It allows you to graph growth in federal government spending.

As Chris Edwards explains:

The tool allows the user to chart federal outlays 1970-2013 for chosen departments and agencies within departments. All data is OMB converted to 2013$.

The graph below charts growth in spending for the federal Department of Health and Human Services.
