Two bills of interest – as found here and here – were considered for a third reading vote in the Senate.

There was no debate on Senate Bill 20, Voter-Owned Election for Treasurer, which forces taxpayers to pay for the campaigns of candidates for State Treasurer. The vote was 29-17, which looked to be along party lines.

House Bill 148, Congestion Relief/Intermodal Transport Fund, which authorizes local governments the authority to raise taxes for,  not roads, but buses, trains and public transportation. Again with no additional debate, the bill passes 35-9 (looks like all no votes are Rs)

Hoping to adjourn the long session tomorrow, the Senate will continue their work after lunch and probably into the night.
