Just now came across this item about Senator Kay Hagan and Gov. Bev Perdue attending an EMILY’s List luncheon to “honor the inauguation of President-elect Obama.” How nice.
Right Angles’ Jon Sanders takes note of the “big issue” Hagan addresses at the luncheon —- that the “Senate gym’s pool is ‘only for the men.'” Turns out Hagan got some bad info — a Capitol spokesperson says there are no rules prohibiting female senators from using the gym.
OK, I embellished a bit in the slug — I couldn’t help it —- Perdue was actually tagged “Sister Governor” by former Bennett College president Johnetta Cole.
