As angry taxpayers gather in North Carolina for a series of “tea parties,” John Locke Foundation experts are helping them understand the problems associated with government leaders who spend too quickly and fail to prioritize. Vice President for Outreach Becki Gray served as one of the featured speakers during last weekend’s tea party outside the State Capitol. WTVD Television interviewed Gray, and The Raleigh Telegram mentioned the Locke Foundation in its coverage of the event. Gray was also busy with other speaking engagements during the past week. She discussed state government and the federal stimulus package with the Durham Citizens’ Coalition (an appearance previewed in the Durham Herald-Sun), and she headed to Charlotte for two presentations on House Bill 2, the proposed smoking ban, for the Outland Cigar Clubs.
