Maybe I wouldn’t be saying this if the hospital competition scene hadn’t degenerated to so much drama that people aren’t taking at least one hospital seriously at all. That hospital is not Mission. Mission is only out unshackle itself from legislation that handicaps it, but no other hospitals. If Mission out-competes the others on a level playing field, so be it. I will even dare to add that Mission’s strength likely lies in its tendency not to play Wesley Mouch games.

On to the news:

Janet Moore stepped down from her position as vice president of marketing for Mission Hospitals. Park Ridge took advantage of comments she made, and spun and hyped them into intentional persecution. She was merely telling a story. Should she have lied? Should she have been more direct in describing a purported need of dental hygiene? Should she have pretended people in these parts don’t decorate their lawn with used appliances? So, we see why politicians keep to nonsense speech.

For some reason, this brings to mind Chris. Just hours before I got my hand caught in a conveyor belt, Chris was talking about how administrators didn’t listen. They needed to respect the input of people on the floor who work with the machines. The maintenance guys had beefs with the engineers because the engineers tried to run things from the office on paper, but the engineers had first-hand knowledge. Guess who un-pinned my hand, why and how?

Reality bites, but things get accomplished when one deals with things as they are. Oh, by the way, my rescuers were all from Haywood County. And another thing, I never knew hillbilly was a bad word until tonight.
