A 14-year-old girl was kidnapped from the parking lot of Eastern Alamance High School by three older teens, taken to one of the teens’ home, and raped. This story disturbs me all the more because it happened in my former home town, and I am incredulous at the response by a school systems official:

Libby Cheek, a spokeswoman with the Alamance-Burlington Schools, said security measures have not changed at Eastern or at other schools in the system.

“We are confident that we have proper security measures in place,” she said.

So kidnappings and rapes are acceptable under their “proper security measure” conditions.

And this from the Burlington Times-News:

Eastern Principal JoAnne Hayes was unavailable for comment Thursday.

Cheek said Hayes planned to conduct school as normally as possible Friday.

?The principal did not indicate she was doing anything different from this incident.?

Business as usual. Listen, the next time some public school advocate challenges me about problems with “socialization” as I homeschool my kids, I will tell them to read about these educrat idiots, and then take their “socialization” and shove it into an anatomical region of their own choosing.
