State agencies have taken a passive aggressive response to Gov. Perdue’s requests for 5%, 10%, and 15% budget reduction plans. They have not given here much in the way of ideas. Gov. Perdue and the next General Assembly should take that as an open invitation to cut anywhere in state agencies. They can start by eliminating the salaries of agency heads who have not complied.
