The news is not credible today. One article appears to be damage control (or whatever the new phrase is for lying) to show the federal government does have the power to make children eat tax-subsidized chicken nuggets. As long as the government can document what happened and prepare reports to minimize the risk of the error repeating itself (whatever that catch phrase is now), then we shall welcome their input.
In another story, we hear how manufacturing jobs are booming out the yin-yang since President Bush left office. Where are they? The only manufacturing plants that expand in WNC receive government funds to do so. In fact, the only jobs that appear to be hiring people for more than $25-50 a week are stimulus-subsidized, outright government, or healthcare positions that are on the verge of becoming nationalized.
