It’s nearly August and there’s still no state budget – just more
behind-the-scenes squabbling, the discovery of an important math mistake, and cries for more money,
as John Hood discussed in Friday’s Daily Journal. The House version of
the budget, passed in June, has drawn fire from tax watchdog groups, as
detailed in this story on the web site of The Heartland Institute.
Comments from Joe Coletti, who authored Freedom Budget 2005, JLF’s
alternative state budget, are included in the story.
