The Locker Room reports that the town of Waynesville is building a FREE skate park.
Guess what? So is the County of Guilford, if the $20 million in parks and rec bonds pass. I thought I kept hearing ‘skate park’ during county commissioners’ discussion of the bond at last week’s meeting. Sure enough, today’s Rhino reports that parts of $2 million would go toward a skate park in Greensboro and parts of another $2 million would go toward another skate park in High Point.
While I’m at it, John Hammer writes a lengthy (unposted) article on the ‘mythlogical black book.’ Read it yourself, but I’ll say sum up by saying it makes RMA president Michael Longmire’s statement that every prostitute and every junkie in Guilford County has been shown the “black book” look pretty silly.
RMA, remember, is now working in Winston-Salem.
