It sure looks and sounds like federal prosecutors are going to put a bow on their big HushHush.com prostitution case without the names of the clients coming out in open court. Sallie and Donald Saxon, the husband and wife team charged with running the escort service, have now both pleaded guilty and pledged to cooperate.

That usually means walking the feds through their criminal enterprise looking for additional organized activity, like other call girl rings or known money laundering fronts. The actual johns are far down that list of targets, perhaps completely off of it.

What is completely unknown at this point is the extent to which the U.S. Attorney’s office has been flooded with polite, informal but crystal clear pleas from the city’s big law firms to stay the hell away from the johns. You know, a few words over lunch to the effect of “Skipper has already suffered so much,” that kind of stuff.

Call it the HushHush hush.
