The Journal shames Don Imus, sort of:
Imus is smart, well-read and up on the issues. There are times when his show is intelligent, funny and insightful. He doesn’t need to use crass racial jokes to appeal to listeners. Let’s hope he understands that now, and that others who would use the public airwaves for such repugnant banter will learn the lesson, too.
Why do I have the feeling if Rush Limbaugh had said the same thing, the words “ignorant” and “boorish” would be used instead?
