The following quote jumped out as I was reading a Bloomberg Business Week piece on ?bearish forecasters who rose to fame in the market crash of 2008?:

?Government is acting like the last drunk at the party. Government is spending at an unprecedented rate, regulating the minutest areas of our lives, and strutting around as if it?s solving problems as it creates them.?

The quote comes from Robert Prechter, who predicts another crisis in real estate and stocks.

His comment reminds me of Thomas Woods? advice to government: ?Don?t just do something. Stand there.?
