More of the letters from Mohammad Taheri-Azar to the Daily Tar Heel have
been published. In these letters, Taheri-Azar says he will not plead
guilty and that his acts were justified. He also said he does not
deserve punishment for his actions.
UNC-Chapel Hill leaders had
once claimed this attack was not an act of terrorism. I don’t believe
they can rightly stand behind those statements now.
