Charges against former N.C. A&T vice chancellor Rodney Harrigan have been dropped.

Guilford County District Attorney Doug Henderson said there was “no criminal intent” on Harrigan’s part, the $70,000 in university funds “was used for a variety of purposes” and it “never went into his pocket.”

OK, so where did the money go? I guess taxpayers are going to have to eat it, as they’ll more than likely have to eat the $380,000 that went from a vending contract into former Chancellor James Renick’s discretionary fund, although the SBI report on that deal isn’t closed yet.
