It’s October in a presidential election year, therefore, sure as the leaves are turning color, the Democratic campaign is hauling out the old “let’s scare senior voters with menacing Social Security ads” artillery. Today’s Wall Street Journal reports that this barrage aimed at the politically uninformed is loaded and set to go.
If you’d like to read something truthful and intelligent regarding Social Security, you could do no better than Ed Crane’s NRO piece. If you know people who need to be convinced that Socialist Security is a lousy program that we need to abandon as quickly as possible, I recommend sending them Crane’s article.
