Petitions have begun to keep sock prices as high as possible. That’s right, sock manufacturers have formally asked the government to keep sock prices artificially high through quotas on imported socks so that a few small, uncompetitive manufacturers can remain in the market. Now, with artificially high sock prices and thereby artificially high salaries for sock makers, generations of North Carolinians can remain stuck in this line of work. Good thing unions and quotas keep salaries artificially high. How else can blue collar America afford “Made in America”?

Now everybody pays more for everything. Yippee!
