This is the big news coming out of Charlotte. Although the CMS School Building Solutions Committee presented a report backed by a consensus of its members to elected officials, nine members stepped away from the report. The nine members, including Lindalyn Kakadelis, drafted a minority report, whose recommendations made the consensus report look like a continuation of the status quo. You can find both reports, here. More to come on this. Another great example of a creative but questionable attempt at reform comes from Governor Easley’s high school initiatives. His demands for reform are, as Lindalyn refers to them, the program de jour. She told her story to the Greensboro News & Record.
