This little notice was in our friendly neighborhood news under Neighborhood Watch News.
“Parents: please discuss what vandalism is with your children. Some pre-teens were trying to break the lock on the tennis court gate. Some adults saw what was going on and stopped the children before they were successful. When questioned the children did not perceive that their actions were vandalism.”
First I wonder what pre-teen doesn’t understand that it is wrong to break a lock to get into any place. Second, hopefully, my neighborhood parents will have enough sense to explain to their children that what they were doing was breaking and entering, not vandalism and if they do that anywhere else they will be arrested.
What a great example of political correctness.
