Gov. Mike Easley made news recently when he returned a campaign contribution from the proprietor of a multimillion-dollar topless nightclub chain, including Leather and Lace in Charlotte. John Long of Gastonia observed:
Our Gov wants a lottery in place, To increase the state’s revenue base. He’ll take cash, I’m sure, From the clueless and poor, But NEVER from Leather and Lace.
