Paul Silas, the former coach of the Charlotte Hornets, told me long ago that there comes a time when players stop listening. Based on Monday’s sloppy penalties, late hits, lack of creativity and shocking listlessness, the Panthers have stopped listening to Fox.
But I wouldn’t necessarily call Bill Cowher a ‘retread.’
