That’s what Rockingham County taxpayers feel like they’re getting as the price tag for the proposed equestrian center keeps going up.
County Manager Tom Robinson says the $17 million funding gap can be made up with private donations —-where have we heard that before—- while Reidsville Mayor James Festerman “worries that delaying the project further could cause the county to eventually lose out to North Carolina competitors also desperate for an economic driver.”
We’ve definitely heard that one before, from way too many local officials.
