Thomas Sowell’s column today is about the academic history of Harvard law professor Derrick Bell, of whom Obama was so fond in his days there. Bell was no legal scholar and managed his prestigious faculty appointments by virtue of his race and inflammatory opinions.
Hmmmm…..that sounds like Obama at the University of Chicago.
American higher education is awash in money (some from government, some from clueless alums, some from students who feel the need to pay for educational credentials as the prelude to their careers) and a lot of it is squandered on lousy professors (like Bell and Ward Churchill) and pointless research.
