Frequent Obama apologist and career Bush hater Joe Klein has nice things to say in his latest column about Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels.
One suspects Klein is motivated largely by the fact that Daniels has supported the concept of some tax increases for the ?wealthy.?
Still, it?s nice to read that a columnist who spent much of the previous decade blinded by his loathing of the 43rd president is willing to see some good ideas emanating from that president?s former budget director:
Any presidential contender whose intellectual honesty wins the notice of columnists like me is usually doomed to irrelevance. Daniels won only 4% support in the CPAC straw poll. But I would pay cash money to watch him debate Obama on these issues, and I suspect the Republic would be much the better for it.
