Even if you’re a fan of Spiderman comic books, you might not have spent much time considering the teen superhero’s role in the Cold War. N.C. State grad student Mathew Shaeffer, a history research associate for the John Locke Foundation, is devoting his master’s thesis to the reflection of American values and historical events in Spiderman comics. He discussed his findings today with JLF’s Shaftesbury Society.
