The Whole Foods in Durham, across from the Duke University campus, is a great place to people-watch. Yesterday I was reminded once again why we have stereotypes: Because they’re based in fact.
As I prepared to exit the lot, an older Volvo driven by a 50-ish man with longish hair pulled into a spot in the next aisle. On the bumper were two stickers. The first was tattered and faded, and the second was new and shiny. They said:
“Re-Defeat Bush in 2004”
and
“Save a Moose: Say No to Sarah”
