As I mentioned earlier, I was gone the last two days, to attend an Orioles – Red Sox game in Baltimore. It was a fun, but cold and windy, time, and I dare say there were more Sox fans there than Orioles.
I found Oriole Park at Camden Yards to be a spectacular venue. If you’re a baseball fan and haven’t been, you really should go. From where I sat it doesn’t appear that there is a bad seat in the place.
What struck me most on the trip, from a public policy perspective, is the stellar condition that the state keeps its sports venues in through the Maryland Stadium Authority, compared to the crappy conditions of its roads.
Talk about the wrong priorities!
