An Ivy League prof inadvertently adds to other inadvertent admissions that the media are rarely even-handed when a lib and a conservative or a Dem or Repub is involved. Here he is discussing the obvious bias of PBS’s Gwen Ifill as a debate moderator (emphasis added):

“It’s probably not the greatest thing on Earth that she is in that role and it’s probably going to really force her to be fully even-handed,” Thomas Patterson, professor of government and the press at Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government, told the Herald yesterday.

As Michelle Malkin notes:

“Fully even-handed.”

As opposed to the usual partially (un)even-handed way the ogling Obamedia has operated the past 20 months.

Snort.

I beg to differ with the good professor. I have no expectation that Ifill will be even-handed. She has no reason to. Whatever bias she displays will be ignored or spun 180 degrees by the media elites, just as they’ve twisted her blatant conflict of interest into a no harm-no foul journalistic non-event.

Some may think Ifill is frantically changing her Palin questions as we speak. I don’t. I think she’s adding even more petty gotchas to her list. This woman is an Obama Kool-Aid drinker, evidenced not only by her book but by her fawning Obama article in Essence magazine and her lie by omission when she didn’t tell the Presidential Debate Commission that she was writing a book whose premise is an Obama win in November.

The stakes are too high for her to be “fully even-handed.”
