Now that the state House has (I guess I could say “adamantly” after yesterday’s “tentative” vote) voted 104-10 to endorse its budget plan, the proposal heads to the Senate.
Senate leaders expect to take no more than a week to make their changes. If so, it’s possible lawmakers could finish their budget deal by the start of the July 1 fiscal year.
