State Republican leaders, notably party Chairman Tom Fetzer, Senate Minority Leader Phil Berger and House Minority Leader Paul Stam kicked off a budget tour in Burlington yesterday in an effort to take back the General Assembly in 2010.
The goal is to “restore the Republican brand” of fiscal responsibility and limited government, with Stam adding that he “was embarrassed with the way the Republicans governed” during the last six years of the Bush administration.
