“State spending will have to return to the levels of three or four years ago,” said Rep. Mickey Michaux in response to the latest news on state revenues.
The final budget will need to find another $1.5 billion in savings for FY2010 (7.5 percent) and $2.0 billion for FY2011. This would mean a final budget of $18.9 billion.
Funny enough, $18.9 billion is the amount of spending in our Back to Basics budget.
