State Senate District 2, a Craven County rematch between incumbent Democrat Scott Thomas and Republican Chuck Tyson, was expected to be very close, but looks like it won’t play out that way. A friend of mine was initially going to be hired to help Tyson, but the money wasn’t there and it’s showing in the vote. The GOP may have missed an opportunity by not pouring money into that race.
